{"id":9518,"date":"2023-02-06T17:04:31","date_gmt":"2023-02-06T17:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10151\/?p=9518"},"modified":"2023-02-06T19:06:04","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T19:06:04","slug":"um-names-sasha-savic-global-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jp.umww.com\/en\/um-in-the-news\/um-names-sasha-savic-global-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"UM Names Sasha Savic Global CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Interpublic Group of Cos. agency UM has appointed Sasha Savic global CEO, taking him back to the agency that started his advertising career in the Czech Republic in 1993.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI started with them in Eastern Europe when I had a war in the country where I\u2019m from, so I got a chance from them to rebuild my life,\u201d said Savic, who was born in Bosnia. \u201cFor me, this is like coming back home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Savic most recently served as global chief innovation officer at WPP&#8217;s Mediacom after serving as U.S. CEO for the shop for nearly a decade. Mediacom has since merged with Essence to form EssenceMediacom, part of WPP&#8217;s media investment arm GroupM. EssenceMediacom is now the largest media agency network in the world.<\/p>\n<p>In his new post, Savic takes on the role Eileen Kiernan vacated when she became global CEO of IPG Mediabrands in 2022.
