As part of its continuing effort to promote diversity, IPG Mediabrands’ UM unit has promoted Jeff Marshall to the newly-created position of Chief Diversity Officer.

Marshall, previously served as senior vice president-DEB (diversity, equity and belonging), and in his new position expands his role to to promote diversity outside UM’s organization, including the launch of “UM Worldwide Media 101 Certificate Program,” a collaboration with Vox Media to facilitate entry of BIPOC (Black, indigenous, people of color) talent into the advertising and media industries.
