UM has won Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority’s media buying and planning across the EMEA, APac and North American markets, it said in a statement issued 15 December.

The account was won following a multi-agency pitch.

QFC Authority is the commercial and strategic arm of the Qatar Financial Centre, and was set up in 2005. It provides foreign and local firms with a platform to launch their business in the Middle East.

Alaa Saad, regional managing director, UM, GCC, said, “This is a massive win for UM and we’re thrilled to be working with QFC Authority. We have built a portfolio of prestigious clients through our deep understanding of the local markets and by maintaining high standards in our work. QFC Authority is a respected financial authority locally and globally and we look forward to expanding our success with them.”

UM’s London and Doha offices will collaborate in the coming year on the account.
