UM Canada took home the Creative Media Gold for Content Marketing at the Creative Media Awards for the 2013 “Moment Zero” video series, created for Coke Zero. The Creative Media Awards recognize creativity in media advertising buying, planning and strategy and is the only award program of its kind. The awards were founded by MediaPost nine years ago.

Coca-Cola Zero’s “Moment Zero” campaign featured a series of online videos highlighting real men with legendary hockey stories. Their stories were re-enacted with NHL players in the starring roles. By using a combination of social media and leveraging a partnership with Canada’s biggest sports network, TSN, the videos generated 1.15 million views on the Coke Zero YouTube hub within one month and increased @CokeZero_CA mentions on Twitter 989 percent.
