UM Japan staff and other IPG Media Brands staff worked on “Impact Day 2024” on Thursday, July 18th.
“Impact Day” is a day when all employees spend a day giving back to the local community and contributing to building a better world. The theme for this year’s 7th Impact Day is “ONE Day, ONE UM, ONE Better World.”
This year, we carried out the following four activities.
Offline: ① Cleaning up Aoyama Park ② Playing basketball with children at Club Seinan (after-school club)
Online: ③ Food donations ④ Donating used books
<① Cleaning up Aoyama Park>
We cleaned up Aoyama Park, a metropolitan park located a 7-minute walk from the office. In the scorching heat, 34 employees spent an hour weeding and picking up trash, and after the cleanup, they received a letter of appreciation from the manager of Aoyama Park.
<Playing basketball with children (after school GO → Club Seinan)>
16 of our employees visited the after school GO → Club Seinan (after school club) and played basketball with the children. More than 40 children participated on the day, and through warm-ups and passing practice, they were able to close the gap between them, and at the time of farewell, the children were seen to be reluctant to say goodbye to our employees, so we were able to have a good time.
We hope to continue such activities in the future to promote the growth of our company and at the same time contribute to the local community.
