UM Singapore has also recently added Singapore Sports Council (SSC) to its list of clients, taking on all media responsibilities for the government agency for a period of two years. The contract began in July.

Founded in 1973, SSC is a statutory board under the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports of the Singapore Government. It is the lead agency tasked with developing a holistic sports culture for the nation, encompassing everything from improving athlete performance to coaching and officiating. The agency also leads the country in the construction of new sport facilities and developing sponsorship and investment opportunities. In April 2014, SSC was renamed Sport Singapore.

As part of the SSC partnership, UM will also be charged with handling the media account across all Southeast Asia for the upcoming 28th Southeast Asian Games, to be held in 2015 in Singapore.

Well done Singapore!
