The United States Postal Service endured more than most public services this year, but letter carriers across the country still delivered a record number of ballots, and they’re gearing up for a holiday season where, rather than gathering together, millions of Americans will send gifts to loved ones.

A new campaign for the USPS created with Spotify’s Studios and Creative Solutions and running on the podcast platform tells the stories of some of these postal carriers and the ways they go above and beyond for their communities.

Gail Branham runs the service’s Operation Santa and is charged with ensuring every letter addressed to the North Pole each year gets to a proper destination. Kyle West offered to bring supplies to people sheltering in place on his route. And Henry Cao opened his own home to people displaced by wildfires.

“This year has been an extraordinary year, but as always, postal employees continue to serve their communities every step of the way,” said Chris Karpenko, executive director, brand marketing at USPS, in a statement. “We’re excited to share these stories through some unique efforts with Spotify and their roster of original podcasts to tell these stories in a fresh way that we believe will resonate with listeners.”

The minute-long mini-podcasts are running on popular podcast including “Science Vs,” “Unlocking Us with Brene Brown” and “Heavyweight,” Jonathan Goldstein’s show about regret and the past. Goldstein also narrates the ads. Media agency UM worked with Spotify, Gimlet Media and the USPS to place the spots. They’ll run throughout the holidays.
